Pro-active IT professional with over 25 years experience working as a IT Systems consultant. Passionate about backend systems as a foundation of IT infrastructure.

Throughout my working career I have achieved significant results in delivering outstanding solutions to clients in different industries. I achieve work objectives and apply my specialized technical expertise to all related areas. Having the opportunity to work for various clients involving variety of technologies, I have broadened my skills and interests in the IT field.

I am particularly passionate about database systems including Oracle, and open source DB systems, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL. Operating Systems, Storage, Clustering, and System Programming are areas where I feel knowledgeable and confident.

I believe a system specialist should have significant understanding of the database related technologies in order to deliver robust solutions and maintenance routines. I enjoy challenges and tasks related to DB tuning, setting up new RDBMS and OS. Disaster Recovery and Availability is one of my top priorities when dealing with organization’s IT systems. I am familiar with different replication technologies provided by Oracle. I also developed custom replication solutions for Oracle Databases by developing shell scripts to manually replicate the data when using Oracle Data Guard or similar is not available to use. I enjoy UNIX/Linux operating systems and spend lots of time developing system automation scripts and writing programs in different programming languages to facilitate having robust and reliable back-end systems. I am familiar with a variety of DBA tools including but not limited to Quest TOAD, Oracle OEM among others.
